Dr. Tayo Odusanwo
Dr. Olutayo “Tayo” Odusanwo obtained her first dental degree in Nigeria in 2005, during which time she cofounded a mobile dental clinic “Dentists on Wheels”; to help educate, screen and refer indigent elementary school children for dental conditions.
After dental school, she moved to Glasgow, Scotland to study for a Masters degree in Molecular Biology, conducting research on the physiology of horse sweat glands. The itinerant scholar subsequently relocated to the State University of New York at Buffalo NY to continue her research on salivary glands, receiving another Master of Science degree.
Dr. Tayo was accepted to Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2013, earning her DMD with High Honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. While at BU, she served as a Big Sister of Greater Boston, mentoring an 8-year-old at one of the local elementary schools.
Dr. Odusanwo has completed residencies in General and Pediatric Dentistry from NYU Langone Hospitals where she received exceptional training whilst providing care to the under-served and uninsured, and conducting community dental outreaches to the local public schools in Central and Western Massachusetts.
Additionally, Dr. Tayo teaches NYU Langone pediatric dental residents at the Providence Community Health Center.
In her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her 7 nephews and nieces, cooking, amateur kick-boxing and binge watching tv.
